Writing secure code
Matthew Haines-Young, Senior WordPress Engineer at Human Made
This talk is aimed at anyone who writes code in WordPress.
In this session Matthew Haines-Young runs through some bulletproof security concepts when writing custom WordPress code. We’ll also be looking at some examples of bad coding and how this can lead to your site being hacked and exploited!
Plugins for power!
Kimb Jones, WordPress Sheffield organizer and Managing Director of Make Do
This session is aimed at anyone interested in WordPress, we’ll be looking at some of the more heavyweight plugins available!
Some plugins do more than just add a cool new feature to your website, they transform it into something else entirely. These plugins, for better of worse, are what make WordPress the powerful and flexible platform it is.
Don’t forget to thank the people who make this happen!
Local hosting company Pipe10 are our 2016 venue partners and donate to the event to help make sure that the Sheffield meetup continues to happen.
